9i. Lamp in plexiglass ‘The Drop’

Description

The acrylic table lamp ‘The Drop’ is completely made by hand. A block of clear cast acrylic is lathed into a shape of… an egg? An olive?…well we like to think of it as a ‘drop’… After shaping it, it is sandpapered and polished by hand. The colour is featured only at the bottom, but it is projected upwards thanks to the particular shape of the lamp. The colored light at the bottom, in fact, is reflected through the full acrylic body and gathers all its beam at the very top, where the optical focus is set.
